Pond Aerators and Diffused Air Systems

Kasco has aerators for many applications. They are efficient at creating a large amount of dissolved oxygen. If you are concerned about poor water quality or a fish kill these are the units that will save the fish. They also have horizontal circulators that may provide the same benefits of a diffused air system especially in shallower ponds. The most efficient means for most applications to improve water quality is with the use of diffused air systems. These systems are simple in design utilizing an air compressor that dispenses air through self weighted tubing to air stations placed in the deeper portions of the lake bottom. This creates a destratificaion where oxygen now occurs throughout the water column. When oxygen is present on the bottom of the pond beneficial bacteria can thrive. This bacteria aids in organic breakdown decreasing nutrients and associated foul odors and unsightly look of algae.
