We recommend a consult for those interested in learning more
about their pond or lake or services and products we provide. Having one of our
biologists come and visit the lake onsite and consulting with you on pond
management will provide great insight on pond management and how to improve your
pond or lake.
During the consult, a water quality analysis will be conducted for several
important water quality parameters (Dissolved Oxygen, Alkalinity, Hardness, pH,
Conductivity, and visibility). A site study will be conducted on the physical
characteristics of the lake including aquatic weeds or algae identification,
observations in regards to the dam and outlet pipe integrity, and fish habitat
availability. Satellite imagery is used to accurately report surface acres of
the lake. Our biologist will also assist you in establishing goals for your lake
to grow more and bigger fish or improve aesthetics.
Once our biologist has collected the necessary data and your goals for your pond
or lake have been well defined, we will develop a management program to best fit
your needs in order to reach your goals. The management program will contain
recommendations for items aesthetic improvements
(weed and algae control and water quality improvements) and fishery improvements
(stocking strategies, harvesting rates, supplemental feeding, liming and
fertilization and aeration installations).
A consulting fee is charged but all but travel cost is used as a credit for any
pond management improvements i.e. products or services rendered. Contact our
office today to have one of our biologist meet with you and see how we can
improve your pond or lake.
