The water quality in an aquatic ecosystem is a heartbeat of sorts, a keystone to a healthy fishery and beautiful lake. Regular water quality is a vital component to ensure that the lakes and ponds that we manage successfully fit the client’s aquatic dreams. Good water quality is not simply made up of one measure but instead is a delicate balance of many individual factors including a lake’s Alkalinity (pH buffering capacity), dissolved oxygen, visibility, algae composition, cyanobacteria presence, nutrient load, and more. Failure to monitor these key components of water quality can result in a host of negative outcomes such as harmful algal blooms (HABs), high toxin levels in water, and poor conditions for fish spawning, recruitment, and survival.
We offer a variety of water quality bundles to ensure that we are testing the specific parameters that may affect your pond. Our in-house biologists are trained and experienced in many areas of water testing, allowing us to test:
- Nutrient Profiles
- Microbial Bacteria
- Turbidity
- Chlorophyll a
- Conductivity
- Hardness
- Nitrates & Nitrites
- Total Nitrogen
- Free Reactive and Total Phosphorus
- Salinity
- Total suspended solids (TSS)
- Total dissolved solids (TSD)
Managing and enhancing water quality is much easier done with regular monitoring, so that changes can be implemented in a timely manner, keeping your pond healthy. We encourage regular water quality testing through our Annual Service Agreement to ensure your pond stays a beautiful and healthy aquatic feature.
